Martin Nolan B. Comm., MA, AITI, FCA is Director of Compliance and Professional Standards at Relate Software. Prior to this, Martin was Head of the Department of Accountancy and Professional Studies and Acting Head of the School of Business and Humanities at the Institute of Technology Tallaght in Dublin. He is an executive committee member of the British Accounting & Finance Association (Auditing Special Interest Group). He was examiner in auditing and assurance in the final exams (FAE) of Chartered Accountants Ireland and served on the Accounting Committee of the Institute. Prior to joining academia in 1994, Martin was senior manager in audit assurance at Deloitte, having also worked at manager level at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC). He served his articles with Hayden Brown, Chartered Accountants. Martin has a special interest in, and extensive experience of, the not-for-profit/charity sector and engages at board and advisory level for a number of charities.
